Townsville's Tropical Wetlands Tour

The Town Common Wetlands are a 15 minute drive from the city’s centre on the edge of the beautiful Rowes Bay and is a sanctuary for an abundance of wildlife. Up to 280 bird species have been documented at the wetlands. Enjoy a fully interpreted tour of the local flora and fauna, Aboriginal cultural, history and much more. We will stop for a cuppa and then take in a tour of Townsville’s Old Quarantine Station at Cape Pallarenda. The station was established on the site in 1915 and includes a small museum containing fascinating history and stories of early Townsville.
